Notice from Junior Committee:

PONY CLUB RACE DAY: The junior committee is organising an outing to the pony club race day at the Curragh on the 26th Sept, bus departs at 10am, home by 9pm Cost approx €25. There will be a Tri Equestrian stand, you will also have a chance to meet trainers and jockeys and get autographs and also a stand that will give you the chance to ride the race simulator machine. There will be a national competition to have one of the races named after your branch. Members will be selected to present Turn-out prizes for certain races on the day. Winning teams from 2010 Championships will be presented with a memento of their achievement. (Horse trials, hunter trails, games, showjumping, dressage, minimus and tetrathlon teams aswell as the musical ride. Winners of Best Team Artistic Presentation in Musical Ride at Festival will be invited to perform a demonstration.

All national pony clubs will attend, with 10 PC members having been picked and having had 1 weeks training in the R.A.C.E. training centre and they have a chance to win 1 week of work experience in Aidan O’Brien’s Ballydoyle Stables, a residential trial to gain a place on RACE trainee jockey year long course and coaching session with a RACE instructor and a €250 voucher TRI equestrian.

Entry to Curragh is free for members with the production of membership card. Discounted entry fee for all others €8 when you book on the internet (book online on www.curragh.ie using the code IPC1.).
