Annual Beach Ride will be held this Saturday, November 24th, Harbour View, Kilbrittain at 11am. Proceeds to local charity. Suggested donation €20.

Christmas Party: Friday, December 7th, West Cork Equine Centre, 6.30pm.
Art Competiton - 3 sections - U8, U12 & 12-and-over. Rosettes for 1st-3rd and prize for winner of each section.
Mounted Fancy Dress - 2 sections - U10 and 10-and-over . Prizes for 1st-6th.
Dog Show - 4 sections - small dog, large dog, "dog I would like to take home" and fancy-dress dog. All prizes sponsored by Meelin Stud.

Refreshments will be served and Santa will be in attendance

‘Newcomers/D/D+’ Rally: West Cork Equine Centre, 23rd November, 7pm. Open to all. Please book at least 3 days in advance with Connie O’Sullivan, 023-43366. Cost: €15.

C Rallies: West Cork Equine Centre, November 30th & December 14th. These will be stable management rallies, i.e.: no ponies required. Please bring grooming kit. Please book at least 3 days in advance with Connie O’Sullivan, 023-43366. Cost: €15.

‘C+’ Rallies: Saturday December 1st, 10-11.30am. Saturday December 8th & 15th 11-12.30pm. At Captain’s Cross, Clonakilty. Please book at least 3 days in advance with Connie O’Sullivan, 023-43366. Cost: €15.

Road Safety Rallies: Captain’s Cross, Clonakilty, Saturday 8th & 15th December 10-11am. Open to all. Compulsory before taking C+ test. Please book at least 3 days in advance with Connie O’Sullivan, 023-43366. Cost: €15.

Swimming: Training has commenced in Douglas Swimming Pool on Monday nights, 6pm. Please contact Vanessa Keane if interested, 021-4778411. This is ideal training for Minimus and Tetrathalon.

Children’s Hunt: December 30th, meeting at 12-noon @ O’Driscoll’s, The Retreat, Bandon.

Showjumping League will take place at West Cork Equine Centre on Sunday, 6th, 13th & 20th January 2008. Open to all Area 5 members. Start time: 10am with Micro Class, followed by Mini Class in the indoor arena. Midi class will commence at 12-noon, in outdoor arena followed by the Maxi class.
Extra competition for the Under-12s will be a "Handy Pony Class"
Two-fence challenge for the Over-12s will commence at 11am in the Outdoor Arena.
Team competitions at Midi height will be held in the indoor arena. Teams of 3 or 4 members with appointed Chef D’Equipe.
Members are reminded to refer to tack sheets for proper turn-out, ie approved helmets, level 3 body protectors, long boots (or short boots with leather chaps, suede not allowed). All tack must be in good condition.
Raffle will be held each day. Prizes can be sponsored to any committee member and will be greatly appreciated. As this is our main fundraiser for the year we would appreciate your help with this and also supplying the shop.
Tack Inspection: Please present for tack inspection prior to entering warm-up arenas

Clipping: Horses & ponies expertly clipped. Reasonable rates. Contact Patrick, 086-3181490.

For Sale: 95 Mitsubishi Canter, takes 4 ponies, with living, non HGV, very good condition. Contact 087-3293349.

Passports: It is now compulsory to have your animal’s passport with you at all rallies.
