An eventing training day has been organised for 26th April 2008 at Ballynoe, just outside Middleton. Instructors Mary O’Connor and Andrew Lee will teach dressage, show-jumping and cross-country.

Newcomers/D/D+’ Rallies: West Cork Equine Centre, Friday, April 11th & 18th, 7pm. Open to all. Achievement badges will be presented to those attending sufficient rallies. Please book at least 3 days in advance with Connie O’Sullivan, 023-43366. Cost: €15.

‘C’ Rally: West Cork Equine Centre, Friday, 4th, 6pm & 7pm. This is the final rally before the ‘C’ test and will be Cross-Country. Please book with Connie O’Sullivan, 023-43366. Cost: €15.

‘C’ Test: West Cork Equine Centre, Saturday, 12th April, 10am. Please bring lunch. Please book before Monday, 7th April with Connie O’Sullivan, 023-43366. Cost: €20.

Games Rallies: West Cork Equine Centre, Friday, April 25th & May 2nd. 7pm. Open to all. Please book at least 3 days in advance with Connie O’Sullivan, 023-43366. Cost: €15.

Minimus: Cross-country training will take place on Thursdays, April 10th & 24th, at Coppithornes, Old Head, Kinsale. Please book at least 3 days in advance with Vanessa Keane, 021-4778411, Cost: €15.

Camp 2008 will be held at the West Cork Equine Centre, June 30th - July 4th. More details to follow.

C+ Rallies: These are continuing each Saturday at Niamh Morrison’s, Captain’s Cross, Clonakilty. Please book at least 3 days in advance with Connie O’Sullivan, 023-43366. Cost: €15.

Turnout: Tack sheets will be issued to all members shortly. Please read these carefully and note that turnout for rallies is expected to comply with these guidelines.

Passports: It is compulsory to have your animal’s passport with you at all rallies & events.

Your help is required
We are in the process of updating our Mounted Games equipment and hope to have a full-set of equipment for all age-groups. Rallies and training sessions will culminate with the Area Qualifier in July. Now, here’s where we need your help! We require an enclosed trailer to store the Games equipment, ie: a small cattle trailer. Would anybody have a trailer that could be donated to the club or purchased for a nominal fee? Remember, it’s the children that will benefit. The other suggestion would be for a local business to sponsor the trailer and their company logo could be embossed onto the sides, thus providing some advertising. Or you may have some other suggestion? We are lucky to have so many young, enthusiastic members in our club and we want to provide the best equipment to give them the opportunity to compete successfully.
